JASON SUMMERS

Jason Summers attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill & received a BA in Radio, TV & Motion Pictures in 1992. He began his career in the Chapel Hill & Charlotte film community as a camera assistant & lighting technician. Since moving to New York City in 1998, Jason has been immersed in the NY film & television world as a gaffer & cameraman. Jason’s cameraperson & DP credits include work for the networks NBC, ABC, HBO, VH1, MTV, TLC & the BBC. Jason has also shot for Jennifer Lopez, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Estee Lauder, Pfizer and Cotton Inc. In 2002, Jason worked as gaffer & cameraperson for Barbara Koppel’s “The Hamptons”. Also in 2002, Jason served as DP for Sarah Kernochan’s “Thoth”, which won best documentary short form at the 2002 Academy Awards.

In his spare time, Jason restores 1960's BSA motorcycles and continues to restore the barns on Kate and Jason's rural farm property.

KATE FIX

Kate Fix studied religion and film at Reed College, Amherst College and The New School. Kate began her film career in San Franciso and New York, working as a camera assistant on independent & feature films. Kate also works as a producer, often in the world of music videos & live concert films. Her credits include live segment production for The Simpsons & production supervision of the Time Warner pay-per-view "TLC: Live in Atlanta". Kate also served as associate producer on “Three Days”, an award winning documentary film about the band Jane’s Addiction. Kate worked as a camera operator & production coordinator on Sarah Kernochan’s “Thoth”. "Thoth" received an Oscar for best documentary short form at the 2002 Academy Awards. As a freelance editor & producer with B Productions since 2001, Kate has produced over 2000 runway shoots as the "house video" company behind Fashion Week in New York. Most recently, Kate produced, directed, shot and edited three seasons of two original half-hour shows for PLUM TV in the Hamptons.

In her spare time, Kate enjoys selling vinyl and other neat antique junk. Kate is also a talented clam & oyster shucker.
